Playground installations by your volunteers can save money, involve those not normally involved in your meetings and build a sense of accomplishment for your group.  Please contact us if you need more information.

Volunteer InstallationParent volunteer groups may install playground equipment utilizing a supervisor from Walnut Grove Playgrounds.  Most installations take one day.  

Typical Tools needed to complete install:

  • Power Auger
  • Post hole diggers
  • Shovels
  • 4' Levels
  • Sight level
  • Tape measures
  • Wrenches
  • Drills
  • Band cutters
  • Felt tip markers
  • Spray paint
  • Hammers
  • Spud bar
  • Step ladder
  • String line
  • Stakes
  • Wheelbarrow
  • Water hose or buckets..

Volunteers should expect to:

  • Unload truck (counting all pieces and pallets)
  • Provide lunch and drinks through out day
  • Call The Ohio Utilities Protection Agency (800-362-2764) to insure no underground utilities
  • Wear appropriate work clothes
  • Provide all concrete and footer blocks
  • Clean site of all debris.                                               

Walnut Grove will provide:

  • Supervisor, with complete knowledge of playground equipment installation procedures, for one day.
